We did a good rehearsal in Putney today...that's all there is to report. I played the drums and then there was a car crash outside, luckily no-one was injured. Also we threw in a few surprises for our live set @ the garage. WOOOO... be there or be circle.

Wow... so its been a good couple of weeks at least since our last blog and seeing as a certain someone *cough* (Stefan) originally promised a new one each day, we can only apologise! I'd also like to apologise in advance if this blog is not up to the usual standard of Stef's. You see, for today's blog at least, your just gonna have to make to with boring old Dru! "oh for f*ck sake" I hear you say... well tough and you never know you might enjoy reading it! -You've got this far!

Anyways, Stef was actually absent from the PP camp last week as he was 'avin it large in Belgium for the great 'Dours' festival. I've heard he had an amazing time and saw a sick line up, which included 'Does It Offend Yeah?' and 'Rolo Tomassi' although i don't really see how he can remember. You should have seen the amount of vodka they took.... obscene amounts! But now home, slightly hungover and tad smelly you'll be pleased to know that our beloved Stef has now been chained to his computer with guitar in hand!
I know, I know this only accounts for last week. But the days leading up to Stef's trip were packed with little tasks and jobs that kept us all pretty busy. We played a couple of shows (big thank you to those of you who made it down), did a lot of rehearsing and have also been working on some new stuff. So don't worry we didn't love you and leave you! In fact we're playing our first headline show next week so if you haven't done already make sure you book your tickets. It's at 'Upstairs at the Garage' on the 28th and you can book your tickets here.

Another insect related blog

Flys, Bees, Wasps and BLOODY Moths are suddenly EVERYWHERE in Fulham!! Picture this five friends in one tiny room... you have to sleep with the window open and then suddenly these pathetic little insects are flying through the window landing on you and all sorts. Have you seen the size of some of these moths too? It's absoloutely mental. I don't wanna kill them but it's so hard to catch them.

Sorry for the lack of blog posts we've been busy writing and me and some friends are also coming up with a few tracks (more will be revealed shortly). But that's pretty exciting. Oh also we played a show at YoYo - Notting hill arts club with a greaaaat atmosphere. Got a lot of familiar faces but also some new ones too. The last couple of days we've just been chilling in the sun (or working at urban outfitters for me) and getting ready to go to Dour festival in Belgium which is going to be nuts. Too bad we're not playing it :( but definitely next year.

So I've been checking the views counter (at the bottom of the page) and we're starting to get well happy about the response, I've only had it up for a couple of weeks and already over 700, that's awesome. I've been writing so much music recently and re-doing a lot of old tracks too so look out for that, we're all getting ready to play at The Flowerpot tomorrow and then DJ @ West Rocks on friday reaaaally looking forward to both of those.

If you're about tomorrow get to The Flowepot at 9pm. And if you cant make that get to West Rocks for about 11pm!

Yeah I'm a moth...

While watching a pirate copy of the new Terminator I watched a moth buzzing around and thought what the hell is up with that? They literally live for clothes and light...I mean whoever made those things must of been feeling especially random. Moths really are the weirdest creatures aren't they? I would say Hyenas are weird but they're actually just all out cool, EVERYONE knows they're the best in the lion king.

...No I'm not stoned and no I'm not drunk just maybe severely tired and suffering cabin fever from ridiculous time periods of song writing for the last two days!

Good news though because there's gonna be LOADS of new music for all of you to hear soon.

So we played a very exciting show last night at The Fly on New Oxford St. And like our usual Perfect People style here is a blog about everything...but the music.

Just a quick mention before we talk about flyday, the day before (thursday) we played at Ravensbourne for a massive online event they do, here's a picture of me getting ready taken by me...how did i do it you ask? (i didn't actually.)

We then arrive at the Fly and Dru helps unpack my guitar and then packs his face.

We play a show to all our best friends and plenty of new faces and then after the show we headed to Movida and managed to get some DRINKS!

I got a haircut the other day and it literally drove me to going outside...WITHOUT A HAT ON TODAY!!!

But seriously today was the sunniest day I've seen in ages, me, dru, kieran (lights) and our mate ashley all went down to Putney and ended up having lunch with the saturdays (bumped into our friend vanessa and coincidentally ate at nandos together) then hung out in Wandsworth Park practicing our superman moves...

So yesterday we all went down to play another show in Brighton at our friends clubnight (I HEART @ THE HOPE)! It was a really really good show, but I'm not gonna bore you with show pictures HELL NO... so instead here's some pictures of us being idiots...

On other news we've been rehearsing a brand new song and more importantly Dru and I have been having a gangster movie marathon so far it's been The Godfather I & II and Scarface...I reckon The Godfather III might be the best call next.

They're USB powered LED drumsticks and they look aaaamazing in the dark...but they're £200 so I doubt you'd be chucking them out at the end of a show. That is all, niiiight!

So judging by the fact I haven't heard from Jake yet, I reckon he had a preeeetty good Birthday! Dru and I have just started getting into the Godfather trilogy (by getting in to I mean as we speak we're halfway through The Godfather II) I was a massive fan of The Sopranos from start to finish and my dad and brothers were always on about these films, now I see what they meant.

I've also been writing a lot of new songs, gonna have some stuff to play you guys VERY soon, right now this week we've been getting ready to play in Brighton. Oh also here's some shots from our last show at the barfly...

...Well not exactly, but last night we played the Barfly and half an hour before we went onstage about 150 kids from Belgium walked through the door. The show was rammed before anyway so this made it amazing, we had crowd-surfing, hand claps and some ridiculously ridiculous moves thrown by me and the band!

Also the day before we did an instore dj set at urban outfitters (oxford st.), here's some shots...

Morning ladies and gentlemen this is pretty much the earliest I've ever done a blog...it's not that early but to get the creative hat on it definitely is! I've been writing A LOT of songs recently, because I do everything on the computer I aaalways start off with beats so I've got tons of unfinished stuff that needs finishing.

The main track I'm looking forward to completing is called LEGO and it's a bit more dancey than our usual stuff, with references to 'breaking apart / rebuilding' etccc sounds pretty awful written on here but it's not...I PROMISE!

Anyway I've also just finished a track called GIVING UP with a lot more electronic noises in, gonna be up on the myspace very shortly accompanied by a video of me playing the track on a silly instrument so look out for that.

I really do sometimes wonder what I would do without Google (or yahoo)... imagine not being able to search on the internet...imagine not having the internet? Call me sad but think of all the things you wouldn't be able to do that you've got used to doing, do you reckon it'd take long to adjust?

I certainly do, my Dad used to play in a psychedelic band in the '70's (when there was no internet) and he told me that they had to advertise everything in the paper and would make up stuff like '*insert band name here* will be slaughtering a live goat at tonight's performance' to get people to come down. Then again, I guess we can still use the internet to advertise shows in this way therefore...

Brighton - Round 2

So Dru and I spent the day in Brighton again yesterday @ The Great Escape festival watching lotsss of bands... here's some of the highlights...

First of all we went to see Hunting The Minotaur at The Komedia and you heard it here first these guys are gonna be huuge, unfortunately I couldn't take any pictures with my jaw on the floor.

Next up I went to see The Ghost Of A Thousand who were beautifully brutal, here's some pictures...

Then after that we had a lie around on the beach, here's Dru and our mate Reuben gazing at the ocean...

Then we went to see Marina & The Diamonds and Little Boots but didn't get in :( but that was fine as we went to see the awesome Post War Years yeaaaah but didn't manage to take any pictures.

After this we decided enough was enough and it was time to go somewhere and dance like idiots so we went to see the legendary Evil Nine

Today me and Dru hung out all day again! Did lots of work practicing our set for our show tomorrow night at 93 Feet East Brick Lane (technically tonight now you're reading this actually) not much to report on as really that was all we did, then went down to Putney wharf and guess what we saw?...Only HEAVEN!

Okay okay it looked WAYY better when we were there!

Hey everybody so it turns out Dru did not get actual shit in his eye, it was something he sweeped up from the floor...dust? leaf? bit of brie? cat fur? No-one really knows but whatever it is made him walk around in dark glasses at our rehearsal looking a little bit like Stevie Wonder (and as dru pointed out this is definitely not a bad thing...Stevie Wonder is a LAD!!).

Sorry for the no-show on the blog yesterday, had a dj set at the fly and found out the day before that my set time was 10 - 2am so spent the whoooole day putting together a collection of tracks long enough to fill the time frame. In the end it got cut a bit short as the capacity was raaaammed and me and some friends ended up running down to wonky pops launch night at punk in soho.

Then today I got so hyperactive waking up with my friends sprawled around my room and the sun shining into my bedroom window I decided it'd be a good day to play football in wandsworth park aaaaall day... bad move as now I feel like death but it did temporarily cure my hangover in the most effective way possible.

So I spent most of today head deep in Htmhell! I thought 'ohh it's shit weather why don't I do some online stuff' bad idea now 7 hours later my mind is boggled, eyes stuck open and I'm in the worst mood everr. So what do I decide to do? Write a blog...on my bloody computer again!

What is it about this modern day lifestyle? If I want to write a song I'll write it on my computer, so I'll be sitting there in-front of a screen until I feel like a break, what do I do? Go watch tv in-front of a screen and then in the evening maybe I'll go out to watch a film with some mates... in-front of another SCREEN! Yeah it pisses me off but I'm not about to give it up, I vent my anger on a screen after all so why let something i love that much go? Plus it's literally impossible for unsigned bands to build any kind of following especially in London without staring at a screen 4hrs a day, 28hrs a week, 112hrs a month and wait for it... 1334hrs a year. That is MENTAL!

Maybe it's just me? In which case I'm a self-confessed nerd.

This weekend we had lots of fun playing/drinking/swimming and eating in the countryside at my uncles house in celebration of my dads 60th birthday party. I apologise for not writing yesterday but to be honest I had no pictures! So apart from playing pool and hide and seek tag with my little cousins here's some pictures to sum it up...

What's up...I promised a blog a day (i think) and this one may be nearly before tomorrow but it's still today, right?

So my dad just turned 60 and to celebrate we're all going to stay at my Uncles place in gloucestershire (friends & family) to have a huuuge jam (music not a retarded sandwich with no peanut butter (who would not have both??)) As most people in my family play an instrument it's not hard to organise such an event (dad; guitar/vocals, mum; banjo/bass, cousin; piano/vocals etc etc etc).

Today was the arrival which pretty much involved me and dru setting stuff up, but we took a few pictures to walk you through the day before the carnage that is my family...

Last night

Last night we went to cheapskates, it was cheap...sure but it's still £1 for a half empty glorified shot glass of military grade vodka. It cured the cold that I was carrying round with me yesterday though... so it's basically magical medicine vodka. Here's a picture of Sam on the pre-lash before the lashing...

On other (and more relevant) news we've been planning our ep back & forth via e-mails it's quite exciting but we can't give too much away, else it might not happen but it could potentially mean we end up seeing a few more of you than just the London bunch. It's interesting having a blog, therapeutic in a way so for your sake I hope I'm making sense and you're not thinking 'I cant believe I've wasted 5minutes of my day listening to a self-centred egotistical twat ramble on about his stupid views on stupid subjects, that have nothing to do with my life...WHAT A DICK'

Heya guys, so after spending most of my energy making this bloody blog I thought I'd at least post something up here! Not every post is going to be about what we've been doing musically I'm sure a great deal will be about the stupid thoughts I've been having throughout the day...

Anyways today I decided to put up a brand new song (called 'Ring Ring') on the myspace. I'm kinda pleased with it but I won't be until I hear your feedback so please go check it out and let me know...
